Eva Štruplová

Following her vocal studies at the Conservatoire and the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Prague, soprano Eva Štruplová attended master classes in Siena, Italy with the renowned tenor Carlo Bergonzi and took part in a number of international singing competitions. A leading soloist of the Opera of the South Bohemian Theatre in České Budějovice, she has sung Musetta (La Bohème), Susanna (The Marriage of Figaro), the title role in Massenet’s opera Manon, Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Despina (Così fan tutte), the title role in The Cunning Little Vixen, Gilda (Rigoletto) and Adele (Die Fledermaus). She is a frequent guest at the Estates Theatre in Prague, the J. K. Tyl Theatre in Pilsen, the F. X. Šalda Theatre in Liberec and at the North Bohemian Theatre of Opera and Ballet in Ústí nad Labem. She also makes frequent appearances on the concert platform. Eva performed the title role of Ariane in Bohuslav Martinů’s opera for Czech Television and has recorded several CDs including Moravian Folk Poetry in Songs by Janáček, The Midnight Mass by F. X. Brixi, and the Mozart Requiem.
