Simona Procházková

Simona Procházková graduated from the Conservatory and the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno. After a short engagement at the Prague Chamber Opera and the South Bohemian Theatre, she has been a soloist of the Prague State Opera since 1992. Here she learned the roles of Pamina (The Magic Flute), Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), Zaida (Il turco in Italia), Adina (The Elixir of Love), Micaela (Carmen), Violetta Valéry (La Traviata), Jenůfa (Jenůfa), Tatyana (Eugene Onegin), Liu (Turandot), and Mimi (La Bohème) among others. She also appears with the Opera of the Prague National Theatre (Terinka in The Jacobin, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni), and she is a permanent guest of the Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava (Pamina, Donna Anna, Micaela) and the National Theatre in Brno (Pamina, Violetta). Her concert repertoire is varied and she has performed in a number of countries including Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Israel, Japan and Brazil.
