Maged Mohamed

Maged Mohamed was born in Mekka (Saudi Arabia) from Egyptian Parents and started his ballet training at age 8. Following his graduation from the Higher Institute of Ballet in Cairo/ Egypt, he received a scholarship prize in 1998/1999 from the UNESCO Art Foundation to participate at the school of Associzione Balletto Classico, in Reggio Emilia / Italy.
Additionally, there he would also graduate from the Fine Arts University.

He received his first engagement with the Cairo Opera Ballet Company at 16 years old, where by the age 17 he had become a Soloist with the company.
Then he danced at ABC (Cosi-Stefanescu) in Reggio Emilia/Italy from 1998/1999.

In 2000 at age of 20, he was engaged as a Soloist with the Staatstheater Meiningen. Before being engaged as a soloist with Staatstheater Chemnitz, he danced with the Ballet of the Semperoper Dresden for five seasons.

He has been engaged with Bavarian State Ballet from the 2008/2009 season until present.

Maged’s has a vast repertoire and performing experience including a mix of classic, new classic, modern and contemporary dance.
He has performed some of the most notable works from Petipa, Ashton, Iavrovsky, Cranko, Begirt, Tetly, Lassnini, Cunningham, Sir MacMillan and many more.
He has worked with many major choreographers such as, UWE SCHOLZ, JOHN NEUMEIER, WILLIAM FORSYTHE, JIRI KYLIAN, VLADIMIR DEREVIANKO, MATZ EK, ARZURE BARTON and more.
