One of the most popular Czech fairy tales by Božena Němcová telling the story of fearless Kate, the smart shepherd and the deceived devil.

This music fairy tale along with Rusalka belongs to the most beautiful operas by Antonín Dvořák. It masterfully combines folk and humorous features with the lyrical and dramatic ones. Its presentation is always a great chance to introduce the opera genre to the youngest audience, as well as a great pleasure for experienced opera lovers.
