World premiere of a political tragicomedy spanning ancient Rome and the present day
Premiere 27. 2. 2026
Running a country is no piece of cake. The Prime Minister blasphemed against God when he tried to give his nation a new type of bread. But the punishment of Providence is harsh: the land is struck by a pandemic and bird plague. The unfortunate politician is unsure of what afflicts him more, as he is not only the prime minister but also the owner of poultry farms. To make matters worse, it turns out that his beloved people prefer donuts over bread.
A political tragicomedy which reminds us that every loaf has two crusts.
This world premiere was written specifically for the South Bohemian Theatre.
