Inside the tent there is a smaller tent, and inside the smaller tent there is a boy. He has travelled a long way. He has travelled mostly on his own. He can show the things he has brought with him, he can tell the reasons for his journey, he can tell about the route he has taken, he can’t tell you where the story ends...
We Come from Far Far Away follows the story of two boys from Aleppo who travel to Norway. It’s a road trip type of story – from Turkey to Greece and then to Macedonia and so on – all the way to Oslo. But it’s also a complicated story, its about things and people and places and also, significantly, about life and death.

About NIE Theater
NIE Theater brings together theater artists from different countries, backgrounds, and traditions to work on original performances based on contemporary stories. By playing with languages and combining styles, they create their own theatrical language. They use various theatrical methods—storytelling, clowning, animation, music, singing, and chorus. The creators of NIE Theatre work on contemporary European stories in multiple languages in an effort to create theatre for today's Europe. The central theme of NIE's work is the stories of individuals caught up in momentous historical events. Ordinary people who find themselves in extraordinary situations because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time...

The complete festival program, including the Opening Weekend, will be on sale from March 3, 2026. The South Specific Festival is part of České Budějovice – European Capital of Culture 2028. The festival is held under the auspices of the mayor of the statutory city of České Budějovice.
