What lies down cannot fall
South Specific 2026 – festival premiere
A story for those who love heights
The production inspired by the life of Tábor native Jiří Hrzán is not a portrait of a famous actor, but rather an attempt to touch the moment when a person leans over the edge - and does not yet know whether he is flying or falling. At the beginning there is a memory. And also a question: what makes us climb higher, even though we know that gravity exists? Together we open the topic of life and creative courage, the risk and joy of crossing boundaries and the slight moment of losing balance - the moment when the center of gravity shifts and the world changes.
The theater becomes a place where the past meets the present, where the spirit enters the test and where humor mixes with seriousness. A production about daring, about the desire to life - about the price we sometimes pay for it. Maybe it is worse to fall. And maybe it is worse to never take off.
