The garden of Kratochvíle Castle will be transformed into a magical space, richly illuminated by candles and fires, where stories and images that entertained and moved the Renaissance era will come to life. Through them, viewers will be able to experience the aesthetics of Renaissance court celebrations, which were among the highlights of social life and during which the religious, moral, and poetic ideals of the time took on a visible form, enriched by a festive dimension.
The evening will be guided by the character of the Mirror, who will introduce the contemporary ways of perceiving the world, reveal the cosmogonic connections of Renaissance symbolism, and lead viewers to the hidden secrets of the castle garden. Allegorical personifications of planets, elements, and mythological beings will also appear, together creating an apotheosis of festive space and time, culminating in a spectacular historical fireworks display.
The capacity for each evening is limited to a maximum of 200 people.
The production is part of the South Specific festival program.
