Lucie Tomsa & Divadlo 3+kk
A performative fitness lesson
Buckle up, buckle up! Overthrow capitalism and bring about world peace. From the living room of a luxury villa. How seriously should we take the views of the famous and powerful on what needs to be done to save the world? What does Jane Fonda say? And what about the unknown fitness instructor, freelance performer Lucie?
Activism – the natural need to respond to cumulative global crises. Activism – the naive notion of being able to change the world easily and quickly. Activism – an annoying sore on the face of an orderly (democratic?) society.
We kindly ask audience members to bring exercise clothes and drinks with them to the performance.
Lucie Tomsa (née Hrochová) is an author, actress, and promoter of environmental responsibility.
She studied physical theater at JAMU. She does voiceovers and guest appearances in several theater companies (Bazmek entertainment, ProART Company, Mikro-teatro, Divadlo DIP). She is the author of four books. She founded the project Knihy budoucnosti (Books of the Future), which sustainably disseminates stories by contemporary authors, where she published her latest title, Patronka dušeplných věcí (Patroness of Soulful Things). She devotes herself to literary and theatrical works for children and advocates for them to be exposed to contemporary and serious topics.
Divadlo 3+KK
An independent theater in Brno operating since 2020. It focuses on socially and politically engaged projects, working with elements of participatory and immersive theater in its productions and creating opportunities for the youngest generation of theater artists. As part of its role as a social institution, in addition to creating theater projects, it focuses on creating opportunities for encounters, developing society-wide discussion, and supporting civil society. It strives to respond to current global issues such as armed conflicts, human rights abuses, escalating social inequalities, and the climate crisis.
The complete festival program, including the Opening Weekend, will be on sale from March 3, 2026. The South Specific Festival is part of České Budějovice – European Capital of Culture 2028. The festival is held under the auspices of the mayor of the statutory city of České Budějovice.
