Cie Pieds Perchés
Akrobatická vzdušná procházka ulicemi města
As part of the _LINK_ project, the Pieds Perchés ensemble invites you on an acrobatic aerial walk through the streets of the city. This 3D musical journey, punctuated by original circus performances, takes place in ordinary spaces, in places we don't necessarily pay attention to, but which nevertheless form our familiar urban landscape. Armed with their ropes, the performers playfully sublimate our relationship to the collective and at the same time offer a new perspective on what makes up a given territory. In short, it's the ideal way to (re)discover your city!
The program was prepared by Cie Pieds Perchés. Cie Pieds Perchés is a Czechia-Swiss circus company operating in the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and France. It combines circus, physical theater, and visual arts to create stimulating performances accessible to all audiences. The company was founded in 2009 by two Swiss artists, Morgane Widmer and Stéphanie N'Duhirahe, who have known each other all their lives. The company focuses on transforming aerial rope techniques in order to use this apparatus in innovative ways. Stéphanie and Morgane explore and work directly with the limitations of the rope (such as height, space, and attachment points) to encourage audiences to see this circus technique in a new way. They have also developed a unique approach to working with the rope in pairs. In 2016, Slovak musician Roman Džáčár joined Cie Pieds Perchés, enriching their performances with live music created and adapted for each show. This approach has led the company to develop primarily site-specific works that focus on the location and history of the space as the primary source of creation and inspiration.
The complete festival program, including the Opening Weekend, will be on sale from March 3, 2026. The South Specific Festival is part of České Budějovice – European Capital of Culture 2028. The festival is held under the auspices of the mayor of the statutory city of České Budějovice.
This part of the program is free of charge.
