Continuo Theatre
Theater inspired by real stories of real people
South Specific 2026 – festival premiere
Everyone at this hotel is a little tired—the staff and the guests alike. In fact, they’re very tired—of life, of work, of relationships, and of this place. Hotel Fatigue is an immersive site-specific production that Continuo is staging at the former Blanice dormitory in Týn nad Vltavou. It will offer audiences a unique theatrical experience during which they will be able to wander the vast hotel grounds alongside the actors, meet dozens of characters, and become part of theatrical situations and scenes set in a hyperrealistic, almost cinematic setting.
A wide range of local associations, institutions, and individuals, including people with health and social disadvantages, contributed to the preparation of Hotel Fatigue. Some of them accepted our invitation and are performing in the production alongside an international team of performers.
As is typical for Continuo, the production will speak to the audience through the language of physical, dance, and visual theater. All this will take place in the evocative setting of a large hotel complex, built in the style of late socialist architecture with an extremely rich and interesting history. Hotel Fatigue is part of the Landscape of Stories project, curated by Divadlo Continuo as part of České Budějovice European Capital of Culture 2028, with the participation of a number of Czech and foreign partners.
