A theatre escape play
Jižní Svéráz 2026 – festival echoes
The festival is held under the auspices of the mayor of the statutory city of České Budějovice.
The mysterious history of the Samson brewery comes to life in a new escape play from the South Bohemian Theatre. Unlike the classic plays of this kind, this time you will meet living characters, and while secretly listening to their conversations, you will be revealed the necessary clues. Where did the barrel washer Joseph disappear to? What is making the maltster nervous? And what is hidden in the mysterious cellars? Come and solve the mystery of the missing barrel washer!
The game takes place in the cellars of the Samson Brewery, but it begins on the boat that takes players to the brewery. The start time of the performance is the time of departure of the boat from the pier on the Malše River near the courthouse. (map here)
It is necessary for spectators to be at the location well in advance, as the boat cannot wait for latecomers.
The project partners are the Samson Brewery and Koncept LANNA.
